Domain Setup and Hosting

A domain is the virtual address which locates the information you would like to share via the internet. Most domain registrars provide a link to a database listing of available domains as well as those already in use or owned. PJLNet will check for the availability of your choice of domains, purchase it, register it in your name and arrange for it to be hosted for you.

We host new or existing domains on our servers here at PJLNet or care for your domain on someone else's servers provided we have appropriate access.

A registrar is a company authorized to register Internet domain names.

Domain setup is the registration of the domain and pointing it to the hosting server. It can also include email setup and forwarding.

Domain hosting is providing a reliable, secure server that adequately handles the traffic generated by the number of sites hosted. PJLNet has dedicated high speed access available 24/7 with multiple regular backups, failover servers and UPS for power outages.

Domain transfers happen when the domain owner chooses to change registrars and/or hosting servers. PJLNet will handle transfers for you at an additional charge.
